KANKAYANA

Shalakyatantra deals with diseases of Eye, ENT, Oral, Dental, Head and Neck. Numbers of classical therapies are explained in the management of various diseases. Numerous classical medications are available in Ayurveda which acts as antioxidant, rejuvenating and regenerating in qualities that helps in the management of EYE, ENT and Oro-Dental diseases.

 

EYE DISORDERS:– Common eye complaints viz., diminished vision for distant / near objects, redness, watering, pain, swelling, etc. conditions along with following specific ocular diseases are managed by Ayurveda with encouraging results.

  • Refractive errors (Myopia, Hyperopia & Astigmatism),

CHAKSHUSHYA:

A special ocular therapy unit established for the treatment of various ocular ailments. In this unit special ocular therapies like Seka, Aschyotana, Anjana, Tarpana, Putapaka, Nayanabhyanga, Annalepa and a set of eye exercises are carried out.

  • Seka:– It is an ocular therapy in which the medications are poured over the closed eye from the height of 4 Anguli (fingers).
  • Aschyotana:– It is an ocular therapy in which various medications are prepared and poured in the eye from the height of 2 Anguli (fingers).
  • Anjana:– It is an ocular therapy in which various medications are applied on the lid margin from medial canthus to lateral canthus.
  • Tarpana:– It is an ocular therapy in which the medicated Ghee is kept in a special cavity built around the eye for specific duration and patient asked to blink intermittently.
  • Putapaka:– It is an ocular therapy in which the special medication is kept in a special cavity built around the eye for specific duration and patient asked to blink intermittently.
  • Nayanabhyanga:– It is an ocular therapy in which special oils are used
  • Annalepa:– It is an ocular therapy in which special medications are applied over the closed eye for specific duration.
  • Eye Exercises:– There is a set of eye exercises like Trataka, candle exercises, Ball exercise, fine candle light reading, button separation, thread exercise, bar exercise, TK wash, Cold pad, Palming, etc. These are advised as per the related conditions.

KANKAYANA :

A special ocular therapy unit established for the treatment of various Ear, Nose & Throat ailments. Common ENT Complaints like frequent running nose, sneeze, headache, oral ulcers, throat pain, dental pain, ear pain, discharging ear, burning sensation in mouth and nose, itching / irritation in nose, throat, ears, etc conditions along with following specific ENT diseases are managed by Ayurveda with encouraging results.

  • Naso-bronchial allergies

KANKAYANA:– A special ENT therapy unit established for the treatment of various ENT ailments. In this unit special ENT therapies like Nasya / Shirovirechana, Gandoosha, Kavala, Pratisarana, Pracchanana, Lepa, Hanubasti, Karnapoorana, Karnadhoopana, Karnaparimarjana, etc are carried out.

  • Nasya / Shirovirechana:– It is one among the Panchakarma procedure most useful in ENT diseases. The specific form and dosage of medications are poured through nostril.
  • Gandoosha:– It is an ENT therapy in which specific medications are held in oral cavity for specific duration in various form.
  • Kavala:– It is an ENT therapy in which specific medications are held and churned in oral cavity for specific duration in various form.
  • Pratisarana:– It is one among the Anushastra procedure and an ENT therapy in which the special medications are used for rubbing over the affected part for specific duration or till the desired effects obtained.
  • Pracchanana:– It is one among the Anushastra procedure and an ENT therapy in which the sharp instruments are used to prick over the affected part of the body till the desired effect obtained.
  • Lepa:– It is an ENT therapy in which special medications are applied over the affected part for specific duration.
  • Hanu Basti:– It is an ENT therapy in which the medications are kept in a special cavity built around the ear for specific duration.
  • Karna Poorana:– It is an ENT therapy in which the medications are kept in ear for specific duration.
  • Karna Dhoopana:– It is an ENT therapy in which the medicated fumes are passed in the ear for specific duration.

Karna Parimarjana:– It is an ENT therapy in which the ears are cleaned with specific medications.
