 PG Seminar halls

Every Postgraduate department has been strengthened by providing individual Seminar Hall with ample space to accommodate respective number of scholars. Halls are well furnished with audio-visual aids, worktables, pigeon cupboards and department library that aid the scholars with an aura of in depth learning and in attainment of definitive knowledge.

Jnana Sangama

As name indicates, this is knowledge hub and conglomeration of Central Library, Digital Library and 24 Hours Reading room. The Central Library houses more than 22000 volumes and 50 Research journals of National and International repute. Attached separate toilets for male and females, hot and cold water facility is an added advantage. High configured systems having optic fiber leased connectivity for hi-speed internet browsing besides enough e-medical stuff and various Ayurveda software’s are provided for learners. 24 hours reading room provides access round the clock for students to study. The entire library is Wi-Fi enabled.

Introduction:

Our vision is to kindle the knowledge and support the education and research programs of the institution by providing physical and intellectual access to the information. It is one of those libraries which are well equipped with more number of Books, National and International Journals. For effective Teaching learning process the library is maintaining a special section of rare collection which is incorporated with Educational CD’s and DVD’s in fields of Ayurveda and Modern System of Medicine. The Library takes more efforts in adding more volumes of books and journals every year to quench the thirst of our staff students.

Our Library is functioning on all working days. Open access system is adopted to avail the maximum utilization of the Library resources. To benefit the students, Library hour is included in the regular time table, which helps them in utilizing the library effectively. Library transactions are maintained by Easylib Software with Bar-coding provisions. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facility is made available to save the access time of the users.

Herbal Garden

Ayurveda advocates lot of herbs as medicines. It is essential to identify several plants as per description. The herbal garden is having more than 500 species including many rare and endangered species. The herbal garden is spread in the area of 25 acres in two areas viz. College campus and at Narsingpur.

The basics of science of medicine starts from understanding the body thoroughly and as the famous saying goes ‘seeing is knowing’. The method of learning by dissecting the dead body has been prevalent from the era of Acharya Sushruta. He cites the methods to even preserve the dead body for the same purpose. The college has housed a well-equipped dissection hall in which the students are allowed to first learn dissection under the experts of Shareera Rachana (Anatomy) and later on are guided to perform the dissection.

It also has various organ specimens, mummified body etc. that enrich the practical knowledge. Also the hall has digital facilities that making the learning process more interesting

Departmental laboratories are equipped with the state of art facilities with advanced technical assistance. Every undergraduate and postgraduate department has respective laboratories which are equipped to impart and give hands on training to students & scholars. Faculty assures that with these resources the students acquire skills. Central Research Facility which has been overwhelming advantage to every department extends warranted support for next level experiments.

Auditorium

Decades old Air-conditioned Auditorium still stands on par with modern hall which has been embellished with recent gadgets for surround effects and shared screens for visualization. Auditorium serves as terminus for many in-house academic activates from general seminars to International workshops and events. This happens to be a sacred place for Ganesh Festive every year.

Teaching Pharmacy

KLE Society’s Ayurved Pharmacy was established in the year 1938 as teaching pharmacy for Ayurved College and Hospital. In the year 1974, Pharmacy got licensed AUS/37 by Drug Licensing Authority Department of AYUSH Bengaluru. In the year 2005, Pharmacy was certified as GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE UNIT. In the year 2011, Pharmacy got the Food Manufacturing license from City Corporation of Belagavi.

Presently the Pharmacy is manufacturing 286 Ayurved classical, 9 Ayurved proprietary medicines & 2 Food Products.
