KLE University’s Shri B M Kankanawadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Department of Dravya Guna in association with NSS department of the college organized Vanamahotsava at Dhanvantari Herbal Garden, Narsingapur on 2nd August 2017.

Honorable Vice Chancellor of KLE University Prof. Dr. Vivek A. Saoji inaugurated Vanamahotsava programme by planting Bilva plant and addressed the undergraduate students regarding importance of herbs. Dr. B S Prasad, Principal KLEU Shri B M K Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya gave Presidential speech with message that Ayurveda is becoming global and future task is of availing medicinal herbs out of which some are becoming endangered, hence we need to act and inculcate planting medicinal plants.  Dr Mukund Udachankar, Principal KLEU Homeopathy College, Dr P G Jadar Vice Principal KLEU B M K Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Dr. M.B. Ramanavar NSS coordinator and Dr Prasanna Savanur HOD Dravyaguna , Dr Vedantham G and  Dr Arun Chougale were present at the function. Dr. Adavesh Holeyache coordinated the function. Team totally planted 2050 saplings which included rare and endangered medicinal plants
